Volunteer expectations and responsibilities

Volunteers are required to give their commitment to GEOKC for a minimum of six months to reach their goals. After the six months period, they will get a flexible administrative position schedule in their desired areas. Some rules and regulations for volunteers include the following:

• Being punctual and timely always, including joining weekly volunteer meetings.

• Having the ability and curiosity to learn about GEOKC devotional programs and services.

• Being respectful to all GEOKC Hindu Gurus or staff and working positively.

• Expecting to achieve the result of a desired expectation.

• Having an understanding and familiarity with and being respectful of all community people who are taking parts in our devotional programs and services.

• Exercising confidentiality, which is very important for GEOKC. We expect volunteers and employees (any paid or non-paid employee) to refrain from providing any confidential information related to our services to others as part of their agreement with us.

• Truthfulness and obedience in regard to following all instructions related to our services properly.

• Being respectful of all human beings, and a familiarity with multicultural experiences.

Volunteer Agreement

It is clear and understood that services received from GEOKC only serve the purpose of helping our devotees or participants to gain spiritual, religious and educational knowledge and maintain daily practice to bring piece and success into their life. GEOKC is dedicated to Lord Krishna and established to practice the primary activities of Bhakti Yoga.

This volunteer time length is based on the daily practice of Bhakti Yoga and requesting support to help and keep our devotees as our responsibility. This is the policy of GEOKC to understand the needs of our clients and serve them through our program’s gurus, staffs, members, and volunteers. GEOKC just believe to bring change or miracle through its own effort and without affecting anyone.

Please read the agreement carefully and sign below:

 I will treat devotees with dignity and respect at all times, and be non-judgmental of devotee’s values.

 I will not discriminate for reasons of gender, race, age, sexual preference or economic status.

 I will maintain the confidentiality of devotees and GEOKC Hindu Gurus or Staffs all the time.

 I will not share my personal information such as home phone or address with devotees.

 I will not give any kind of support like money or transportation help to any devotees.

 I will complete all required tasks related with my assignments in a timely manner.

 I will never take opportunities to talk on issues related with other religion or cultural values as well as any topic related with social life.

 I will never take responsibility of any political issue.

 I will not give any legal or medical (health related) advice to anyone in GEOKC, specifically to any devotee, staff or IBOK Hindu Gurus (guru means spiritual master).
